Terms of Service

By using Hearthwise (the Service), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

You must be 18+ to create an account. Family members you invite agree to these terms when they accept their invite. You're responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your credentials safe.

You own your content. You give us a limited license to host, process, and display it for the purpose of running the Service for you and your family. We don't claim ownership and don't use your content to train models. You're responsible for having the right to upload anything you upload.

Don't use Hearthwise for anything illegal, anything that infringes someone else's rights, anything to harass another person, or to generate or store content that exploits minors. Don't try to break the Service or extract data you aren't entitled to. We can suspend accounts that violate this and we will report illegal content to the appropriate authorities.

The Free plan is free with the limits described on our pricing page. Paid plans bill in advance, monthly or annually. We may offer trials; trials convert to paid plans only after you provide a payment method and confirm. You can cancel any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period. We don't pro-rate refunds for partial periods, except as described in our refund note on the pricing page.

AI features are provided as-is and offer suggestions, not advice. Hearthwise is not a substitute for legal, medical, financial, or tax professionals. Don't act on an AI suggestion without using your own judgment.

You can delete your account anytime from settings. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or pose legal/security risk. On termination, you can export your content during a 30-day window before we purge it.

We aim for high availability but don't guarantee uptime. We may take the Service down for maintenance or upgrades. We'll communicate planned downtime where reasonable.

The Service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for any particular purpose.

To the extent allowed by law, our total liability under these terms is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. We aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes go to courts located in California.

We can update these terms. Material changes get notified to account owners via email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that means you accept the change.
